The Strategic Communications team is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic media relations programs designed to build Kennesaw State’s visibility. In addition to serving as the primary point of contact for the media, the strategic communications team prepares news releases and stories for the University website and proactively develops and maintains effective working relationships with media outlets.

Internally, the Strategic Communications team assists in defining the communication needs of the schools and colleges and recommends the most effective means to meet their goals. 

The Strategic Communications team publishes or administers the following:

Campus News Website:

This site features the latest announcements from the University and its colleges. It also highlights faculty, campus news and media placements.

Kennesaw State University Magazine:

The University’s premier publication reports on news, events and research, and highlights other issues related to Kennesaw State. The magazine also profiles prominent alumni, faculty and students.

Internal Communications:

Strategic Communications and Marketing manages KSU’s internal communications strategy, facilitating the efficient distribution of clear information to the university’s community of faculty, staff, and students. The university’s internal communications tools and guidelines ensure that KSU team members have the information they need to meet university goals. 

Social Media Sites:

Kennesaw State uses social media to enhance its existing news and information dissemination, and build an online community of fans and followers to further extend the University brand. Through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and other social media outlets, the department shares news and events while encouraging fans and followers to share the information with their friends and followers to spread the word about Kennesaw State University.

We have partnered with Merit Pages to highlight and recognized student accomplishments and achievements.
